Gifts for Kids Program brings joy at the holidays to children and teens in need.
This year, 1,000 children in 12 Norfolk County communities were identified by human service providers. They are matched with generous people like you!
When you call or email to help, you will be given the first name, age, clothing size, gift preferences or needs of a child. It's fun shopping for this child knowing that you will be buying specific items that he or she will enjoy!
Place the new and unwrapped gifts and clothing in a large, sealed secure garbage bag following the packing information that you will be given.
With only 5 days left to meet the deadline, there are still about 250 children who need donor sponors. Please join my family and me in sponsoring a child.
There is a suggested sponsorship amount, but any donation of cash, gift cards, new clothing or unopened toys are greatly appreciated. Teens especially appreciate gift cards to major chain stores. A separate donation of wrapping paper and tape would also be very helpful!
Call or email between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. one of the following Gifts for Kids volunteers to sponsor a child:
Tracey Hirschorn - 781-784-0213, traceygfk@yahoo.com
Teri Gorsky, 781-784-1441, terigfk@gmail.com
Gifts for Kids has been helping to ease the financial burden for families during the holiday season for over 20 years. Children in Canton, Dedham, Foxboro, Medfield, Millis, Norfolk, Norwood, Plainville, Sharon, Walpole, Westwood and Wrentham receive holiday gifts through Gifts for Kids.

Hi, Nina -- that sounds like a great way to help make the Holiday brighter for the children. Have blessed Holiday Season, Eric
Hi, Eric...Gifts for Kids is a great way to match individuals with children and teens in need and help bring some happiness to them for the holidays! Happy holidays to you, too!
Hi Nina,
This sounds like a great program that will bring smiles to children faces.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks, Wandanna! It's a great way to get families involved in helping children and teens who live in the local communities. I'm hoping this post will help spread the word so they can get sponsors for the remaining 250 children.
It just breaks my heart to think of the kids who won't have the kind of Christmas they deserve. Kudos to you on getting the word out on how to help in your area. I just bought a couple toys for our local toy drive and love the feeling that I may bring a smile to a couple kids Christmas morning.
Gretchen
What a cool way to be able to help out some really special kids during the holidays Nina and good for you for helping to get the word out to help!
Hi, Gretchen...there are so many great programs to help children and families have a special holiday. The Gifts for Kids Program is great 'cause you "adopt" a specific child or teen and get to shop for him or her.
Hi, Brenda! I hope the post will help generate some more sponsors! PS: I LOVE your profile photo!!
To my ActiveRain friend and fellow blogger,

Gifts for Kids sounds like a great program for the community to support.
I wish you all things bright and beautiful
at this holiday time and throughout the year.
